Although most changes are likely to be minor, Boho calligraphy may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in Boho calligraphy’s sole discretion. Boho calligraphy encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. General Policies

Quotes are valid for 30 Days.

After 30 Days without an official booking, Boho Calligraphy reserves the right to re-evaluate the quote and update the estimated pricing.

Seating Charts & other Wedding or Event signage must always be done prior to the actual event date.

In general, Boho Calligraphy does not work on-site on the day of an event. If this is absolutely the only option, additional charges will apply.

If Boho Calligraphy must travel to do the work on location, a travel fee will apply.

Clients usually drop off and pick up small signage at Boho Calligraphy’s studio. If this is not possible, a delivery service can be arranged at the client’s expense.

Cost of materials & supplies are extra.

The Client is entitled to one complimentary in-person consultation and one follow-up consultation via telephone. Additional in-person meetings or phone consultations may be subject to additional Administration fees.

Boho Calligraphy can be reached Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm. Any phone calls or text messages sent during evenings or weekends should be restricted to emergency only, unless scheduled in advance by appointment.

Should the artwork include text: The client is responsible for making all decisions about spelling, abbreviation, punctuation & capitalization. For example, how the client types a list of names is exactly how they will be written on the final artwork.

Boho Calligraphy is not responsible for errors made in the final text document provided by the client. It is recommended that the client have a third party proofread the list prior to sending it – two sets of eyes are better than one!

If the client requests a particular paper or material outside of Boho Calligraphy’s usual repertoire, it must be approved first by Boho Calligraphy to ensure that it is suitable for calligraphy. (For example, clients should refrain from purchasing a bulk order of envelopes until one envelope has been tested, to ensure the paper is a suitable weight/not overly textured/etc).

The client must provide an additional 30% of the paper and/or materials required to accommodate potential error or last minute additions. (For example, if the order is for 100 Envelopes addressed with calligraphy, the client must provide 130 Envelopes).

All sales are final. Due to the custom nature of the services provided, Boho Calligraphy is unable to accept returns. However, any errors made by Boho Calligraphy will be redone at no cost to the client. If errors are due to typos in the client’s text document, the client will be responsible for all costs related to the creation of new items.

All artworks, both proposed and completed, are the wholly owned copyright of Boho Calligraphy/Monika Kumari, and may not be reproduced, distributed, or published in any way without prior written permission. Boho Calligraphy/Monika Kumari must receive a credit line for any editorial usage (in print or online).

Payment Policies

To reserve the date on my calendar, I require a 50% deposit and a signed service contract before any work can begin on the project.

The deposit is non-refundable, and is due within 5 days of signing of contract, and before any work can begin on the project.

Please note, there is always a chance that the final cost could be less, or more, than the initial estimate. The artist will inform the client should any additional charges be added prior to final invoicing.

The balance is due upon completion of the final artwork.*

*Unless the client is a corporation paying Net 30 or Net 60, which must be agreed upon prior to the project start date.

Due dates are indicated on invoices, and late payments will incur a fee.

Accepted payment methods are as follows: (Example: Interac E-Transfer & Credit Card)

To avoid last minute stress for both parties, it is best to book Boho Calligraphy’s services in advance. To accommodate last minute orders or additions, Boho Calligraphy will charge a Rush Fee in certain circumstances.

The Rush Fee ranges from 25% -50% of the total amount of the order, depending on the nature of the request. Boho Calligraphy will apply a rush fee to the final invoice in the following scenarios:

1. If the client wishes to book Boho Calligraphy’s services one week or less before the final artwork is required.
2. If the client does not supply Boho Calligraphy with the necessary information to complete their project until one week or less before the final artwork is required.
3. If the client adds an additional project that was not previously agreed upon one week or less before the final artwork is required.
